CREATE A SECUREACCESS WASHINGTON ACCOUNT

Your SAW account

Like most Washington state agencies, we use SecureAccess Washington (SAW) to manage access to customer accounts. You will need an active SAW account to access the Paid Family and Medical Leave portal and create or access your WA Cares Exemption account. To log in to or create an account, go to SecureAccess.wa.gov.

Already have a Paid Leave account?

If you have a SAW account you’ve used for Paid Leave because you’ve applied for Paid Leave benefits or are an employer or employer agent, you can use the “Add/Switch Account” link in the top menu bar on your account homepage to go to the “Choose an Account” page. Once there, use the “Create a New Account” button to “Apply for a WA Cares Exemption.”

If you don’t have a SAW account, you will need to create one.

If you have a SAW account but have never accessed Paid Leave, you’ll need to login to your SAW account then add Paid Family and Medical Leave to your SAW services.
