There are over 1.3 million Washingtonians caring for a friend or family member with complex medical conditions or disabilities. Providing this type of care for a loved one can be incredibly rewarding, but almost half of family caregivers report related financial setbacks, with 26% spending their own income on care expenses and 61% of working caregivers reporting job impacts.

The WA Cares Fund was designed to give Washington workers a more affordable way to pay for long-term care and to give their families much-needed financial resources.
