Join us and a panel of experts as we discuss aging in place — the ability to live in your own home as you get older. According to AARP, 75% of Americans age 50-plus want to live in their current home for as long as possible. However, to keep living independently, most people will eventually need long-term care, which is help with activities of daily living like bathing, eating and taking medications. We will discuss the challenges of living independently as we age and resources available to older Washingtonians. 

The WA Cares Fund was designed to help Washington workers stay in their own homes as they age and get the care they need. The program is just one part of the state’s work to promote independence and choice for older adults.
