2024 A Year in Review
2024 was full of milestones for the WA Cares Fund! Here’s a look at some of our accomplishments for the year.
Now you can take your WA Cares benefit with you, thanks to a new law on benefit portability. Starting in July 2026, Washington workers can choose to continue participating in the WA Cares Fund if they move out of state. Benefits will become available for out-of-state participants starting in July 2030.
Our dedicated customer care teams worked tirelessly to handle over 26,000 calls and emails about the program. If you have a question about the program, you can contact us for support.
Over 500,000 users visited our website. Our user-friendly website offers additional resources, tools and program news. You can even translate all website content into 13 languages.
We hosted 11 webinars with more than 1,500 attendees. Our webinars focused on topics ranging from program basics to long-term care planning to employer information. You can watch recordings of past webinars and register for our first webinar of 2025.
We travelled throughout the state for 10 in-person presentations with more than 500 attendees.
