Self-employed workers can enjoy the same benefits as fellow Washington workers. 

For every applicant, beneficiary, caregiver and provider falling under the WA Cares Fund umbrella, there are new statistics and results to collect. The team members collecting and tracking that data are the Data and Outcomes Team.  

After WA Cares Fund benefits are approved, the next step is finding the right provider(s) for you and agreeing on services together.

Your journey to receiving WA Cares Fund benefits starts with the application process. Beginning April 1, you, or someone helping you, can create an online account on our website. 

We spent this year building systems, expanding partnerships and preparing to launch benefits in 2026.
