A year in review
3.5 million workers began earning benefits. Starting July 1, workers began contributing to the WA Cares Fund to earn long-term care benefits they can use later in life for things like in-home care, home modifications, meal delivery, transportation and more.
Our dedicated customer care teams worked tirelessly to handle over 143,000 calls and emails about the program. If you have a question about the program, you can contact us for support.
Over 500,000 users visited our new website. Launched June 1, our new user-friendly website offers additional resources, tools and program news. You can even translate all website content into 13 languages.
We launched three new social media channels. Recognizing the power of social media as a tool for communication and engagement, we created accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn last spring. Follow us on the platform of your choice for regular updates highlighting care stories, upcoming events, program updates, new resources and more!
We hosted 16 webinars with more than 5,400 attendees. Our webinars focused on topics ranging from program basics to long-term care planning to employer reporting. You can watch recordings of past webinars and register for our first webinar of 2024.
We sent 12 newsletters to more than 12,400 subscribers. You can sign up for our newsletter to receive fund facts, monthly FAQs, program news, webinar highlights and more in your inbox.
We’re proud of our team’s achievements this year and look forward to sharing even more program updates and resources for workers and employers in 2024!
